In the 70s, I subscribed to:

-Apartment Life Magazine
-National Geographic
-Rolling Stone

the 80s: Time

the 90s:

-Time
-National Geographic
-Consumer Report
-Martha Stewart Living

the early 00s:

-Time
-Martha Stewart Living
-Oprah

2008:

-Time
-Dwell

Having moved as many times as we've been married, it had been incumbent upon me to cull significant articles from all these subscriptions.

I bought 3-ring D-binders and sheet protectors to save these articles. Of course, these are tomes, but they are my personal resource library for all things life.

There have been numerous times I've saved trips to the library, but now, Googling info has been my "go to" resource of choice.

We've been proactive in the downsizing pursuit of our belongings. Guess these tomes will be on their way out.

In a way, it's like the parting of good friends.

I am no longer renewing my two golf magazines. Sad. I hardly ever read them. I allowed my Natl Geo to expire when I moved from CA to OH. Now I only will have Time Magazine. (I too subbed to Apartment Living, and I was a charter subber to Rolling Stone and kept the sub for a long long time.)

There are only so many hours in our consciousness... only so many things to read, do, etc. After my subscriptions end, no more rags. All my fave mags pretty much use the web now. Forgot to mention that I used to subscribe to JPG magazine (last year). Good quality photos.
