  Days Off

Yeah, the boys are home for 5 days!  Lets hear it for teacher conferences!

If the weather would just cooperate!  We got up early today and explored the pond and parkland around our house.

The morning was very wet raining off and on with a spring chill to the air....

We discovered cats tails plants around the pond that made it through the winter.

The boys enjoyed pretending they were magic wands as they waved them through the air, spreading the seeds....my little nature helpers!

We morned the passing of an Egret.  How wonderful that it will forever rest by the beautiful pond with all those fish.....

Returning home we sat and had a picnic breakfast warming ourselves in front of the fireplace....

They are so quiet now, I feel like I am home alone....Peace............

Wait a minute! I'm not sure, but it seems that you're saying that your school district is giving the kids 5 days off because teachers are conferencing? Is that parent-teacher conferences, or conferences to which they go to learn better methods? I can't imagine 5 days for either... Well, you are having a nice relaxing time with the kids! That's always good!

I used to love it when my kids were small and they were home for spring break. We'd always go do special things like go to the Science Center or if we had free tickets, go to the theme parks and ride roller coasters. Sometimes it was just something as simple as going to walk around the mall. It was good times. Great memories. Even now, I go out with my 25 year old every few weeks. That bond will never go away.
