Long days and longer nights....watching UC (under cover) do their thing..slowly becoming their thing..comings and goings of a thousand footsteps....waiting for the evidence to appear.....

Listening to the sounds of the neighbor hood, blending with the street... who will I have to be tonight?
Where is my family, will they remember me?
Will I remember who it is they love, or am I becoming the 'situation?'

My partner, together we will not forget, together we slowly,methodically begin to change...morphing into the crime family...dripping like sweat, off the glass...will they know, did I forget to remove my police ways to enter their world...
will my mind hold the facts, will my heart be strong enough to beat thru to the end, my eyes sharp enough to look away from the danger....

will my laughter sound like curses....my cries become smiles in the twisting of the two worlds of good and evil

I will hold to the academy training, ingraining honor and integrity... my blood will run true NYPD blue...

Partner we are going home after this UC assignment..
