I don't think this devastation can ever be erased from the minds and hearts of all Americans...

I am still stunned by all the pictures. I hope we never forget but unfortunately as the next generation comes along it will have less and less impact. There was nothing in our newspaper last year about December 7, 1941. Sad.

This is something I noticed, too, because Dec. 7th is the date that I met my husband.

I was amazed that it was not even mentioned in school....I downloaded info from the internet and discussed AMERICAN history with my sons.....

I will ever forget this. How many times was I in the World Trade Center? I don't know. I took the Path to NJ so many times I can't count them all. One time when I was doing free-lance copy editing, I was up there on one of the higher floors during a storm and noticed that we were swaying. It freaked me out, but they told me it was the way it was built. My friend lived there then up on 54th and 7th and I called him from FL immediately to make sure he was okay. He said the smell was just horrible and wafted uptown. A year later, I went to the site. I'll never forget walking by the chapel with all the offerings around it, and the silence of even the New Yorkers as they passed. I still have the sticker on my window. "We will Never Forget" 9/11/2001.
