Entering the housing project, carefully, all our sences on high....heart beating thru my vest....we're close enogh to hear the shots, they have not been reported....
Creeping up the stairwell,holding my gun oh god was that the echo of my keys? Silent, I must be silent...turn off the radio...they will know we are coming.....I smell the hot cordite ,the hot smell stings my nose,I feel the fear of the pursued.....which way from here....which door....the lights are all broken...cann't see a thing, just smells and feeling the wall....footsteps are slippery....we are on track follow the blood from the vic....be alert....STOP....listen footsteps runnning toward us..heart racing faster now..the door's thrown open....slow,think, look, oh god don't shoot...just some one running away from the danger....follow the eyes, the look, the glance...tell me which way,,,I feel lost in these stinking halways....ok we found the vic..so much blood..cann't call for a bus yet, we need to find the doer...more footsteps door opening flood of light, I hear myself yelling GUN!!!! Shots fired M.O.S. down 10-13...I gotta get him cuffed....OK OK check list, cuff him...recover the weapon...YES another gun off the street....call for a bus, identify location...are we all here?
Scene secure, back to the RMP....central 60Charlie 98..whats holding?....

Time to clean the shoes.....

The adrenaline was really pumping there. Mine was just following along with you. The last statement is packed full of meaning--time to do the mundane tasks after being on such an emotional high!
