  So What!!!

I have just recently returned from two weeks in California, so nice to still see 3-5 feet of snow and ice in mid-May at the high elevations, and near 100 temp in the Napa Valley, all at the same time. Maybe I am mellowing out, or just getting ultra-senile in mid-life, but I was visiting my friends who live near the Castro district, gay area, last week when the California Supreme Court overturned their ban on gay marriage; the celebrating and partying went on for three days. But to digress, even if that is not my lifestyle, who am I, and what difference should it make to me? If this is what other people want, this IS what THEY want, and, to hell with me if I don't like it. In other words, so what!!!!! San Fran is a whole different world in and of itself, anything and everything is there, one way or another, in any way, shape, or form. Much much changed from the old days when I was always just passing through on my way to Monterey and Ft.Ord.

Live and let live..

I do not want to see the government tell Americans how much electricity we can use.

Nor do I want the government to decide who can marry.

Let the States vote on laws.

Get the Feds and the Judges out of it.

You don't want to hear this but that also means getting the republicans out of it--what happened to the old party where less government was part of their platform??

SF hasn't really changed that much--it was just all undercover (and that's not meant as a pun!!!)

There has been one big change since my last visit three years ago. Every person from every mental institution, from anywhere in America, who at one time was incarcerated for their own health, safety, and welfare, is now a beggar and/or a G-Can tipper on the downtown San Fran streets.
