Well yesterday (05/05/08) was David & I's 3rd Wedding anniversary & 4th anniversary for living in Hawai'i. We met up after work & went to Mandarin Chinese for dinner. Well Mr. David surprised me with a beautiful necklace.

 It's 32 carat Blue Spinel. It also has a silver Honu that David made himself to add to the piece. 

So you can see the feather lei David got for my birthday, with the Blue Spinel and the silver honu, and then my Honu wedding ring.

I about fell outta my chair at the restaurant. I thought it was just gorgeous.

SPINEL  (Elemental Astrological Signs of Sagittarius & Aries)

Spinel crystallizes in the form of rolled pebbles, cubes, and octahedral crystals exhibiting, sometimes, dodecahedra terminations. The colour range includes red (distinguised from ruby by measurement of specific gravity), blue, violet, black, green, yellow, orange, brown, white, and almost colourless.

This mineral can be used to renew energy (I have been feeling totally drained for about 2 months now) and to provide encouragement for further attempts at difficult tasks (been having a rough time with a few people in my life and just stress at work and home). Blue Spinel  (Astrological Sign of Gemini)

Blue spinel can be used to calm sexual desire (won't go into detail but this is much needed right now in my life), to enhance communication (anyone who knows me knows I have a hard to communicating and this is something I greatly need to work on), and to stimulate channeling and clairaudience.

It can help to align and stiumlate the throat chakra (David unknowingly bought it and made it into a necklace piece which hangs at my throat), providing for verbalization of the Kundalini energy (Kundalini in Sanskrit literally means "coiled up". Kundalini is envisioned as a serpent coiled at the base of the spine, hence a number of English renderings of the term such as 'serpent power') as it moves through the body.
