I just finished my first online chat for my Matthew class. It's an online course, which means, as a class we never meet in any room on campus. In fact some of my classmates are not even in the state! Yeah, I wouldn't want all of my classes to be online, but there is something awesome about being able to be 'in class' having a discussion with a small group and the professor, while you're stretched out on a couch with a pint of ice cream in your lap! (Okay, you need a laptop and wireless internet too... and I do.) Hooray for technology!
It's not my first online course, I've taken a couple others because I've never wanted to spend an entire week on campus and sometimes the only way to have a workable schedule for the boys is to take some courses online.
So far, this one is laid out pretty well, and I'm enjoying the instructor.
I'm offering you one access point to the class that you can go look at and even open some links and view some online presentations. You won't be able to get to any of our discussion forums or chat rooms because those are accessed through a different website and require passwords. E-reserves are also password protected. Still you will be able to hear some audio presentations as well as view some power point stuff. If you're interested in learning more about the Gospel of Matthew, this would be an ideal way to gain some insight, free.
