The hip situation may require more than anti-inflammatory and pain relief. Have you had an MRI to determine how deteriorated it is from arthritis. A hip replacement might do wonders for you.
The tour of the farms sounds really nice. I especially enjoyed reading about the farm where people share in the profits and/or losses. I would love to get into something like that so that I could have fresh veggies all through the growing season.
