As long it wasn't there.
Tantrums in the backseat
Coming loud and strong
Making an hours trip
Seem like three days long.
The odor coming from the back
Was a strange mixture indeed
And it was certain by trips end
A steam cleaning is what this
car would need.
If getting lost wasn't enough
His wife questioning his intelligence
Led him to question
Why did he give up his independence.
After asking for directions
From a guy with less teeth then hair
And then telling me
From here I couldn't get there.
Finally my temper
Had got the best of me
I was ready to drive the car into
an oncoming train
Then maybe I'd be free.
That was back then
The time has past
Who'd think I'd ever say
Thank God for the high price of gas.
