It is the election time of year
Candidates pointing out who is
right and who is wrong
Long on promises, short on solutions
Yes it's the same old song.
You have too old
Too female,not enough black
Long on trash talk
Short on tact.
Promising the moon and stars
Tax breaks galore
They'll keep that roof over your head
But sorry you can't have the floor.
They want to bring home the soldiers
From over in Iraq and Afghanistan
Yeah they have ideas
But nobody has a plan
Hillary will tell you
Experience she does not lack
But her mind strayed
And for that she caught some flack.
Barack insulted blue collar workers
He's been labeled a snob
But he hopes rich people
Still thinks he can do the job.
Then there is John McCain
Still trying to figure him out
Can he do the job
I can say I've had a doubt.
But we should get out and vote
Like every good American should
But listening to these candidates
Almost makes voting for Ralph Nader
look good.
