Last year a 20-year-old San Diego woman was in a car crash with her 10-month-old son and the thing is...the mother could have been under the influence of alcohol at the time the car crashed.  Thankfully, it was reported that the injuries they suffered were not serious.

What could have possessed this young woman to drive drunk with her baby in the car is beyond me.  From a psychological point of view I’m curious as to what issues this woman has, if any.  I’m reminded of the time Tracy Goldman was on The Oprah Show and told the story of when she drove drunk with her kids in the car.  She had been at a party with her family and had a couple drinks of wine.  Next thing she knew her car had crashed.  Thank Goodness her husband and kids all survived.  

Tracy Goldman said that she felt fine after the party and didn’t think she was drunk at all when she got in the car.  After all, she had only a “couple” drinks.  Should you even get behind the wheel even after one drink, especially if there are kids in the car with you?
