Dave said he was okay but Ben, the three year old pitt bull was very depressed yesterday. I guess Ty, the large puppy got a little rough during play time and Ben had enough and mopped around the house all day refusing to eat or play. So I offered to come over and play with them for a little while and see if I could mend the friendship between the two dogs. ... I emailed a girl I worked with all the links to the 5Ks and she's thinking about running the Pasadena Marathon and hinted heavily that I could do the half marathon. I left work and headed to my favorite dirt track in the tree lined park and ran a total of three and a half miles. I ran the first mile in 9 min 28 sec followed by a walking break. So he calmed down and called the dog rescue lady and his friend Mary. Mary talked him out of sending puppy to a kennel and she volunteered to take over all dog sitting duties. They sent the police over as the nearest relative was hours away. The police found her passed out and got her to the hospital. Having just paid my electric bill (which was red), my phone bill, my health insurance (20 days late) and my rent I was left with very little till payday. I spent all my paycheck and what little I had in savings on rent, health insurance, power bill, and my phone bill.
