A Size Sixteen to a Size Four?

This month marks my one year anniversary for gettin' serious about my health and my weight.

Next Monday marks my one year adventure with the crazy indoor cycling class better known as spinning and my favorite form of cardio. I took my 94th class yesterday.

I hit my 500th workout last week at my local gym - that's 500 workouts in the past three years that I've been a member there.

As of this morning I have done 31,225 crunches since January 1st of this year. I didn't keep a running total in 2007. LOL

I have lost 52 pounds since the end of April of 2007. I've gone from a size 16 to a size 4. Side Note: I graduated high school as a size 10 and college as a size 12.

I can run two miles at a time, hike a mountain, peddle for an hour or two, balance on steep rocks, and motivate others to do things that they never thought they could.

It's been a crazy twelve months and I have accomplished more than I ever dared to dream. So when someone says to me I'll never be that size again, I look at them and say, "Never, say never. Anything is possible."

Especially if you put your mind to it. It's a fantastic accomplishment. You've done so well. Congrats!

It starts with small changes - like I say to everyone - small changes make habits while big changes cause panic. Start with something small and build upon it. That's all I did. The key is to never give up on yourself.

I'm stunned, simply stunned. The purchase of the bikini top this weekend was the most shocking thing of all to me. I'm still struggling with the differences... and the keeping up with jean sizes. I was a size 12 over the summer and a size 8 over Thanksgiving ... and now a size 4.
Yep, stunned.
