Patriotic Doings

The weather is just perfect so far this weekend. It has been absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday we went to our friends Pete & Betsi's house for a BBQ and fireworks. My husband and I went to school with them. They have been married to each other since shortly after graduation and actually still live over near our high school. It was fun for my husband and I to drive around our old stomping grounds. It's not too far away from where my husband I live now, but we don't get over there a whole lot anymore.

Today, our 3 year old granddaughter came over for a little visit. My oldest daughter, the baby's Mom, starts an afternoon shift at the hospital at 3:00pm and our grandbaby's Dad ends his security shift at 3:30pm. So we have the baby some Saturdays for about an hour and a half while her Mom & Dad's shifts overlap. She wanted to go in her little pool. It was a wonderful afternoon for that.

Thanks Mel. We think she's pretty special for sure. It was nice to have her here with us over the weekend. My kids were with their Dad and there is something different about having a toddler in the house.

That's what everyone says. My oldest daughter was the spitting image of me as a baby and so is her daughter. I totally look like my Mom. And recently, someone at a party thought my sister and I were twins. (We're not. We are 9 months apart though... so that's pretty close,

We love her to pieces! It was a fabulous weekend with perfect weather during the day and nice cool sleeping weather at night.

Her whole family is constantly taking her picture so she knows exactly what to do as soon as she sees the camera.

What a little princess!!!!She is adorable.I saw my Granddaughter this morning for a few minutes.She turned 3 on February 3rd.I love this age for little girls,especially when looking for clothes.My Sarina has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.This morning I stood over her before she woke up just thinking how much I love her.I have 2 sons and 3 grandsons,so she is my only girl.
