To all you fellow bloggers and friends that set your alarms early just to read what's on my mind, you can sleep in for a couple of weeks.
Yep, I'm off on another wild trip to the hinterlands. I'm leaving May 1st, driving through IL, MO, KS, and CO to Canyonlands NP, Utah. I'll be taking the "blue" highways, making various stops along the way, tossing my sleeping bag on the ground or back of my truck (no topper), eating out of my grab bag of packed goodies.
It'll take me 4 days to get there by Sunday 5PM. I just hope the weather is good.
I think our group (Wilderness Volunteers) will be taking out tamerisk trees--my favorite (not) job. I've never been to C-lands, so I'm looking forward to seeing a new place.

See you all when I return (if I return?). I won't miss this slow computer. Maybe my friend will help me post some pictures. I'll miss you all!

I envy you--if you pass through Southern Illinois-drop by the house and you can have a warm meal and a soft bed!

I'm still stuck on what has taken place in Texas, I cannot read and research enough... to take all of the children away from all they have ever known...even the babies still breastfeeding!!!!????? Now that is a crime!!!!
