  My Children--the Short Version

Nobody really wants to hear about your children. "You either have them or you don't". But since I posted a photo of mine (with me in the middle), I thought I'd just say who they are. (Picture taken Nov., '07 in Honduras)

From left to right, there's Valerie. She'll be 35 in Oct. and is an optometrist living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras with two children (married). Then Emily, age 30 in Oct., a dental hygienist in Laf. IN., married, no kids. Darin, age 25, a mortgage consultant living singly in Santa Cruz, CA. And Laura, age 33 in Sept., a social service worker, married with no kids, living in Oakland, CA.

I'm proud of them for their personalities and accomplishments. They were forced to see their parents divorce when they were young (5-15). And worse, they had to live with their father after that! But I got them all but Darin through college, so they better not complain too much!
Weddings weren't cheap, either (nor braces, piano lessons, etc.) Don't mean to "brag". Good kids--I love them a lot.

Thank you Annie. Nobody cares to see my grandchildren. Children are bad enough to show off!

Wow, I saw the picture. What a nice looking family you have. Your girls all have the same eyes and smile and they all resemble you. You did good!

Thanks. It's fun to see the resemblance. They all get along so well, too.

Your description sounds great. You have raised a wonderful
family in spite of great odds. However, when I clicked into
your photo gallery at least 4 of the photos, including the one
you describe ("My Children") were black with streaks. Three others were okay. This was on the 2nd effort. The first time, all were black
with streaks. :(

Hmmm. Don't know what the problem is. I don't think it's on this end. Thanks anyway on the nice comment.

Thanks for posting your photos. It's good to see you with your family, and I enjoyed the ones of your recent trip to Utah.

I had help in figuring out how to post photos (). I tried a couple of others, but they wouldn't take. If I only knew how to put pics in the actual post. Another lifetime!

Good looking kids. I couldn't get the zoom going so I couldn't see details. When all is said and done, the only lasting legacy is our kids.

So true, Jeri. I hope I'm not "buried" away somewhere.

Thanks Laurie, I think. It's usually the other way around! They smile a lot for some reason.
