  10 Simple Pleasures

Jeri, of Elderjane fame, gave me the idea of posting 10 simple pleasures. Mine's on a daily basis.

1. Working several puzzles (Sudoku, crossword, crypto)

2. Watching bluebirds

3. Making a 10' birdie putt

4. Reading

5. Taking a 15' nap after lunch

6. Drinking a coke float (on occasion)

7. 30' on the piano

8. Enjoying a glass of red wine before supper.

9. Eating garden goodies

10. Having a daily BM (Maybe that should be #1)

Extra: Watching the Cubs (if they're on).

How about you?

Great simple pleasures.. I may have to do this myself. It is always good to be reminded of the simple things and enjoyments in life! Thanks Randy. Who said you could have 11?

Go for it. I'd like to see what makes you "simply" happy Tanya. Glad to hear from you.

I love tealstar's addition to the list, but that is not a 'solitary' activity, is it? Know how that goes...sigh. Can't relate to #3 but like the others.

I do not receive notices by mail for an older post. You have to look up top under "Messages" and click on that. Each message is a comment left on one of your posts.

Sorry for the late reply--your comment got by me. I don't get notified via email that people make comments, and I miss some on old posts. Do you get notified, and if so, how do you make it happen?

Great list. I especially like the bluebird one. We have two kinds of bluebirds here. My favorite is the Mountain Bluebird, but I also like the Western Bluebird. The color of the Mountain Bluebird is so very unique.

I love seeing Mt. bluebirds (Utah)! My Eastern ones are pretty pale. Something scared my pair off. They left behind four eggs in the box.

Those sound like perfect pleasures!

Pretty simple, like me. I need to check you out soon. It's been awhile.

Yes, let us give Steve the credit but I couldn't stop with five. I like your list and of course you can't have too many pleasures.

It was fun to do, but I sure could add more. Next: 10 things that irritate me on a daily basis. I hope I can't think of that many!

Puzzles bring me peace. Such a simple joy.
comment by shesaidwhat on July 11, 2008 4:05 AM ()
I'm not sure about them bringing me joy, but I like the challenge. Plus it helps keep old man "Alzie" away, so they say.

Interesting. I heart scrabulous which is on facebook. I lose every time but it doesn't stop me from trying. :)

Ooh... I Scrabulous too! And I'm also a fellow member of the Frequent Scrabulous Losers Club.

Don't know about them. Just don't get me started! I have plenty to do.

I get them from the internet, thanks to the NY times.

The Chinese have these puzzles available? I bet crosswords are challenging!

I do #1 too many times during the day. I'm a puzzle junkike.

I try to find time to do those three out of the paper. They're easy to get hooked on.

Oh come now, Laura. This is old stuff to you. Still, it's always good to hear from you.

I think I started this with my 6/29 post called Five Pleasures. Now it has morphed into TEN!! I guess one can't have too many pleasures, eh?
comment by looserobes on July 8, 2008 3:07 PM ()
I'd forgotten you started it Steve. My apologies to the source.
