The new job has been kind of hectic lately. On the long to do list is a new membership brochure, magazine articles, an email and print newsletter, as well as lots of other things in the hopper.

In any event, I am taking a few moments to update you all. Last weekend was too short. I went home to a sick spike, which was as you may imagine incredibly frustrating. He figured out how to jump the gate. This is a bummer because he didn't know he could do it. He hasn't attempted this very fate for three years. I always thought he was stupid, but I gotta give that dog credit where credit is due. He didn't want to be sick in my room, which is his room so he found a way out of there. It wasn't destructive. So that was good but it's never fun to clean up after a sick puppy.

I got to catch up with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while. I felt a bit awkward because I was the only "single" person out. The married people all go to dinner with each other all the time. I even had a gentleman named "thimble" attempt to pick me up. I am not kidding. It didn't work out for him, needless to say. This was not the weirdest portion of the evening. My former friends were talking about me, less than 5 feet away. I found this to be incredibly annoying and this didn't make me want to hang out with them in the future.

Sunday I spent with the family getting ready for a family wedding. That is coming up here on Friday and then there is a picnic on Saturday. Crazy family times. Per usual.

Oh, don't ya just loathe people like that? What terrible former friends. I ditched one of my former friends a year ago for something similar. I feel like a better person for it.

I don't know what's worse, talking about you behind your back or right in your earshot. How rude. Get rid of em'!

I think I am done. These particular married people minus the one couple B & C are out of my circle. Perhaps they were miffed about me not attending the wedding of my former flame. I mean if you've slept with the groom for a 2 year period, I just don't find it completely appropriate to go to the wedding. Particularily, when the bride didn't know...

I never liked them anyways... But I know you do so I hope they learned their lesson!!!
I can't wait til wine night. I think quitting is going out the window cuz today is a day I need to smoke 12 packs to get me through! AAAAHHHH
