  Happy Hump Day!!!!!

Good morning.

Yesterday was a good day. Counseling went well, a bit intense but things are working themselves out nicely. We will survive this.

We went out and bought a HD tv with the surround sound and all that goes with that. I took a picture of it but can't seem to figure out how to post it at the moment, probably because we woke up at 2:30 this morning and my mind is a bit foggy. At least I'm dressed for work and just have to do my make-up, but I wanted to touch base with all of you.

We got home about 6 last night and I rushed around making clam chowder and trying to set up the new system, we got everything done and were in bed by 8:30, so we did well. I thought it would take a lot longer to make the clam chowder than it did.

It's definitely fall here in New Hampshire, cold at night and 70's during the day, but damp. I can't complain, I love the four seasons. Soon we'll be seeing the white stuff again and I love that too. I know, I'm nuts. LOL!!!

Clam Chowder

5 Large potatoes
1 onion
2 carrots
2 stalks of celery
2 T butter

Melt the butter in a pot and add the rest of the above ingredients, saute until onions are tender.

Add...
2 T flour and 1 quart of seafood broth or clam juice or just plain water. Let boil until potatoes and carrots are tender.

Next....
2 Cans of whole baby clams, juice and all
1 Pint of half and half.

Heat through and serve.

Yummy!!!

Have a great day, talk to you tonight.

Happy Cooking,
Sum

Thanks for the chowder recipe! I've been thinking about some!

It was really yummy! I tried a new seafood broth in it and was really impressed. Usually we buy the clams and boil them and use that broth. Nothing better on a cool evening than a bowl of soup and homemade bread.
