  Mccain Wins!

Here's an ad I found in the HuffPo that states that McCain won the debate, before the debate took place -- tonight.

By-the-way, I saw the ad too and on my facebook page, that morning, I put up something like, "Laura is laughing at McCain who has an add saying he won. doh! Guess he has to show up now!"

I lost interest in the debate when neither of those two numskulls could answer the first question, "What would you do for the economy during this current economic crisis?" or something to that effect. NEITHER of them answered the question. T

hen Leher says, Will you vote for it?" Obama, classically, skates away form the question and says, "I haven't read the text yet, it isn't available." Cop out. He's clueless about the economy because he doesn't care about the people, only himself. He knows what to do for his own financial benefit but doesn't have a clue what to do for yours nor does he care about that. THAT is obvious. Judge people by their actions not the crap than chinks, and chunks, and plops, and slithers out of their mouth.

Leher asks McCain, "Will you vote for it?" McCain, without even realizing what he was saying, says, "Yeah, sure." Then goes into a load of crap.

NEITHER of those two can help the American people because they DON'T CARE about the American people. They only care about themselves.

he win or won? So, how about Obama?

Well, writing this AFTER the debates... It seemed kind of even to me... kind of boring. Well, maybe it was better than I thought!

You couldn't have watched too much...it wasn't even close...

The little line at the bottom saying who paid for it was telling. I watched the debate and was hoping McCain would lose it and do something stupid but he acquitted himself better than I thought he would. I mailed Candidate Confusion to a lot of people who are voting for McCain but it will probably fall on blind eyes.

You know, Jeri, I had the same feelings about this debate as you! I thought that it was kind of even, but lots of places felt that Obama really did a LOT better than McCain. Of course, the conservative position was that McCain did much much better. I couldn't really tell.

It's hard to lie when you report it before the debate begins

I guess because the HuffPost published the ad, they didn't use it, but they're still claiming that McCain won... I think I read it in NewsMax. I read all sides.

The whole episode left even conservatives admitting that the McCain campaign looked erratic and a bit foolish with no apparent direction or guiding principle.

“It just proves his campaign is governed by tactics and not ideology,” said Republican consultant Craig Shirley, who advised McCain earlier in this cycle. “In the end, he blinked and Obama did not. The ’steady hand in a storm’ argument looks now to more favor Obama, not McCain.”

Even Mike Huckabee is piling on:

Huckabee said Thursday that Sen. John McCain made a “huge mistake” by even discussing canceling the presidential debate with Sen. Barack Obama.

“You can’t just say, ‘World stop for a moment. I’m going to cancel everything,”‘ Huckabee said.

That's when he's most effective...

Seems as if McCain has been through a terrible week. I read that he insisted on going to the meeting and hadn't read the 3 page summary, so he kind of sat there saying nothing. Well...

I'd have to say, Obama literally cleaned McCains clock tonight...it was a great body slamming performance. It was a pleasure to watch...that frigging guy is smart...Gotta love the Huff!

He is indeed smart! I watched, but didn't get that much out of it. Maybe it was because my husband was so sick...

The only thing McCain will win tonight is second place.

Uh-oh, I think your answer went up into the stratosphere again!! It's the one lonely one up there!

Is is my imagination or is there some kind of propaganda in the pictures that they use for Obama and McCain. On CNN whenever there are pictures of the two of them, I think that Obama's is very uncomplimentary.

Angie, I think it depends on the reporter and photographer. I read that a reporter who didn't like McCain, backlit him really badly and produced a scarey picture. Atlantic mag didn't like it and fired her... I think. Something like that. The picture on the cover of Atlantic was pretty nice. Yes, I see some strangely bad pictures of Obama!

Well, John, I know the difference!

From the Huffpo what do you expect. They have been caught in one lie after another in what they report.

Ah, Jenn. We have had our disagreements before, but this is one I will pass on. I do get the reports from Newsmax, too. All of my friends are Republicans. We don't speak much of politics. Living on the cusp of Orange County, I learn to live with it. I have had Republican assembly persons in my class to speak with my class and let them pass out their buttons... even took them myself. They are, of course Republican, living in this area. I've had the (Republican) mayor several times. This is the fun part of teaching third grade. I do try to teach them to be open-minded. Their parents are Republican. I do not say anything negative or positive about either party. They have views and I allow them to voice them, with little comment from me. The blogs are the only place I voice my opinions on politics. I do lean toward liberals and usually answer those posts. Well, did I say I was going to pass on this one???
