  Recipe for Chili

I just read elderjane's recipe for chili. So, here is mine:

1 can Dennison's fat-free chili
1/2 medium onion, chopped
about 1/3 stalk of celery, chopped
1/2 can petite diced tomatoes (save the rest for tomorrow)

Mix together and heat. Don't let it burn.

Well, what were you expecting? I always told you I didn't cook... much.

Fast and easy and creative. I am going to try that holiday salad too.

Jeri! Your chili was so much better! I am going to try the salad, too. I would try your chili, but I have no crockpot.

Sounds like my kind of cooking! (This is coming from a guy who has a hard time boiling water!) I got a kick out of "Don't let it burn."

It is the way I cook, Jim! When we moved in here, the smoke alarm went off twice and we didn't know how to stop it. It was really loud and so very embarrassing!! Now, I DON'T let it burn!

Tomatoes simmered 24 hours make a nice sauce with thinly sliced onions and garlic. We boil fresh peppers and fava beans in a separate pot. Towards the end we might throw in a few bits of hamburger for seasoning. We serve chili with a boilermaker. If we miss on the chili, we can have another shot and a beer.

If the house burned down, the boilermakers would take the sting out of it.

Jason!!! If I had to simmer anything for 24 hours, I would burn this house down. I would end up homeless! The boilermakers would just add to the conflagration, wouldn't they?

How creative, almost home made, I think there is a TV show like that.

Here's my new version of the Lime jello traditional desert for Holidays.
I used piƱa colada yogurt instead of cool whip,
I used low fat Philly Cheese,
and I did use the whole can of pineapple and
topped it all with shredded coconut.
LOW FAT and oh so yummy.

Ana, that sounds delicious, and healthy! I shall try it!

Calling opening a can a "recipe" is a bit of overstatement. At least you add some other ingredients. Sounds good!

All of my recipes start with a can. Well, except the ones that start with chicken from Pollo Loco...

I just open the can...can't get much easier than that..

You are MY kind of cook! BTW, why is the print so small on top of the box here? Never mind... no one would know what I was talking about.

Mine is very similiar, but I add hamburger...

Well now, you see? I forgot the hamburger!
