I sometimes think that the only reason people come here (including myself) is to bitch and moan and complain about life... love and the state of the union. For a moment, I thought this may be a bad thing..sometimes depressing as we read posts of lost love, sick family, aching hearts and aching backs.
But then it dawned on me...this blogging stuff is great therapy...it is great for the mind..great for the soul...It is a wonderful way to release that which makes us miserable...what drains the very life from our souls.
It is a way of getting things off our chests without too much worry of being judged...and to be honest, who the hell cares if people judge us here.
There are so many nice people here...people with problems who have discovered a network of help...a network of friends who most of us will never meet...but friendships we have formed ...and it is all good.

Yeah, as you can see, I have not writen anything for a long time..
Busy, not inspired...not sure what the reason is.

While I've been going through some rough times these past few months, I was simply unable to write, to vent, to complain. Now that I've gotten through and over some of the tough stuff and can find the grace and humor in the circumstances... I can now come back to want to share again. So it's nice to "see" and chat with you again.

I think that you're completely right! I used to scoff at the idea of "friends" on the internet...or at the idea of a cyber community...but I've also discovered that it really does exist and these people are my "friends". They're sometimes the best support system I've got. I can't decide if that's awesome or pathetic, though.

For years I have told people that Blogging is my therapy! - I think like most of us, I blog how I feel...
And you are 100% correct - Who cares if we are judged, I blog for ME... not for them!

Martin is right a joyful read.
For my material I post mostly comments I've made on big sites Alternet for example. Since I lose them among the many replies etc, I post them on Greasy where people often put up with my eccentricities.
I have mellowed somewhat an improvement.

BTW, I grew up near Pittsburgh on the Ohio River.

its even better when you really connect with someone and talk to them on the phone. this is a great place.
