The Continuing Story of the Needle

I'm going to put a picture in this so you can see it. I took it at the time that it happened, as per my cousin who is a lawyer recommended. I also reported this to the food and drug administration. They took all the information as you would think that they would. My cousin told me to contact a PI lawyer which I did, someone we used to know many years ago. He's calling me back today. Meanwhile, I will be scheduling a doctor's appointment to make sure I didn't swallow the other 1/2 of the needle. This is a mess!

I believe if you did swallow the other half. This will pass.
They normally do.

I've also been warned that it can perforate your intestine as well. That's pretty frightening.

Hopefully it is a one-time thing (for the sake of others). But when this was going on in the '80s, the objects were being placed in the products at the stores by copy-cat criminal types. I hope the country isn't in for another round of that....we'll be buying bread in cans....

Completely off topic: Did you post not too long about about BBQing eggplant? It looked really good and was stuck in my mind, so I bought one yesterday. Something about EVOO and salt (I think), then onto the grill? I don't think it was an eggplant post and it may have been somebody else, but if it was you, and you get a minute... please visit my "I have an eggplant" post and, well, you'll know what to do!

Nope you're right. Eggplant, EVOO, spice it up withsalt, pepper, basil, other good stuff and throw on the grill! Yum!

OUCHY!!!
What was this in again?
I doubt you could have broken the needle point off with your teeth without noticing so my bet is on you didn't swallow it, but SCARY still. Dayum.

Pepperidge Farm whole grain Light Style Oatmeal bread. I think you're right, but better safe than sorry.

Ugh.. can't even think about getting that stuck in my gums... Hopefully the other piece of the needle was never there... I think the average lawyer will sniff-out a buck here.

We were talking (hubby and I) about the possibility that if it was dropped into the batter it might have gotten cut off in the slicer. I would think that would be sharp enough to slice through anythingSomeone may find it and I hope it is not the wrong way!

Lordy Day! I see the eye of the needle, don't I? That means that the sharp end is missing!
comment by angiedw on May 13, 2008 8:03 AM ()
Yep, it's the eye. I worry about the other end!
