Hubby was in NYC with son doing Today. Then they did an interview for Dateline. They stayed at a lovely hotel and had a comfortable few days. Meanwhile...back in FL. Every day I got up early to take care of the dogs, make the coffee, take care of the dogs, take a shower, take care of the dogs, go to school, come home during my planning period to take care of the dogs, go back to school, get someone to cover me so I could come home one more time before the end of the school day (thank heavens I only live a mile away)to take care of the dogs, go back to school and then come home to take care of the dogs. I love my dogs and sheba (but she's no bother believe me), but when it's one person and 3 dogs, they are a lot of work. Lilah is old and can't hang on for a long period of time. She's also about blind and I sort of have to lead her out to the yard. On Thursday night I had open house, so then I had to come home take care of the dogs and go back for 3 hours. I finally got home at 9:00 p.m. or so.
Yesterday, hubby didn't get in till about 1:30 so I had another repeat of the previous day, except for the afternoon visit to take care of the dogs. Last night, I had to go back to school and take some photos of community night -- which is sort of a large night around my school.
Whew! Glad that's over!
Today...today is leisurely, but more fun that that, I got some free passes to Disney and my travel buddy and I are going to EPCOT to the Food and Wine Festival this afternoon. We'll stay for the concert tonight and just have ourselves a mini-vacation.
I didn't bring home any papers to grade because I graded my head off for the last 3 days. Truly, I have probably graded about 250 papers in the last 3 days. I have one set left, but I figure I can do those on Monday during that quiet hour early that I get there every day. Sigh! I definitely feel a lot better.
Okay, sorry I haven't been around, but maybe now you know why. Talk to you later.
