  Exhausted Both Mentally and Physically

My sons left this a.m. I was up at 5:00 a.m. watching the dogs while they packed the vehicles. Trust me, I was doing the harder job of the two. They pulled out a little after 6:00 a.m. and I cried for about 10 minutes. All day I've felt drained and tired, just exhausted and the house is incredibly quiet.

I'm about to go put my feet up for a while and rest. This has been one of the hardest times of my life, dealing with everything and then saying goodby not to one, but both sons at the same time. I'm just wiped out.

I'm going to grab my coffee in the a.m and come check up on everyone. Talk to you soon.

I am dreading the day when my son moves out. At 17 now, he is already talking about moving to the mainland next year. It will be so very difficult for me to let go...so difficult. I sympathize with you.

I'm dreading that day personally. My Mom often reminds me how she felt when we left home, she said it was nerve wracking, she felt such anxiety; but as soon as she had the constant 'nagging' phone calls she felt relieved that we made it ok. I always run to mom when things seem not right - like today, I phoned her to say how much the doctors hurt my foot. It was nice to hear her tell me what to do and how to behave myself. She know's i'll burden her with my concerns, but in a way - I think she likes it

When my first son left, I thought I couldn't stand it. When the second one left, I still felt sad, when the last one didn't leave, I was delighted. HE said why move out, when he had a full time maid and housekeeper. Ha!! I love for them and family to visit, but am always glad when they go home now. Ha!! I have learned to enjoy my "empty" nest. My heart is with you.

I know how you feel. Everything will be ok. Feel sad for a bit, but then pick yourself up and embrace this new chapter.

yes,the feeling is mutual there Deb.
But in the meantime ,enjoy the quiteness of the house.
Just relax enjoy the animals and now and then the boys will
come to visit you. This will heal in time.
They have to leave sooner or later.
Life goes on and Life is Good.
