  My Two Loves

Well, I'm going to experience a true "empty nest" pretty soon. Both sons will depart for Georgia in the coming months and I'm going to miss them, but I know that they are pursuing their heart's cry and that is what life is really about.

I worked my tail off yesterday. Walking about 6 1/2 miles total and today, I'm so sore. I must have pulled something in my back yesterday when I bent over to pick something up. Don't know what but I've really got a couple of sore muscles right in my lower back. Makes it hard to sit here and type actually.

Didn't win the lottery! Drat! That would cover those darned college costs, but you know what? I don't even care what it costs. It's that important. Wait a minute, I do care. They are going to live off campus and save several thousand dollars that way. Older one will have a job and younger one will have a 1 day a week job so they can pay their bills. I'll supplement where I can so they can stay afloat. This is important. This is their futures.

Sorry I couldn't blog yesterday, worked all day and was exhausted last night. I'll talk to you later today and go visiting. I want to see what everyone is up to.

Oh Deb, I dread the empty nest. 5 years more for me. It will go by fast I'm sure.
Great looking boys you have.

You will feel empty at first, then all the things you like to do and didn't have time with sons at home will come forth. You will soon be a busy happy "teacherwoman" again. Just enjoy them during the summer.

That's really wonderful of you to supplement your boys where you can!

You're so sweet. I've had this "empty nest" before. Year before last, it was very empty and you know, I really enjoyed the freedom of it and there was a lot less mess!

I'm looking forward to my son spreading his wings and moving out to explore what life has to offer. Maybe that's cause i still have a little on at home.

Yep, by the time they get big, you have many mixed emotions about it and yet I know it is right.

Sounds like you were quite busy. Lots of walking!
It is going to be really different having both sons out of the house at the same time. It will be so worth it, though, when they are done with it.

YOu know, I had that for one year and loved it. It was lovely not worrying about dinner and having a lot less cleaning. My grocery bill went down drastically. I always looked forward to visits though!

Why don't all of you move to Georgia? In state tution if a lot less than out of state tution.Seriously, I know you are going to experience "empty nest" syndrome with both of them leaving but at least you are within distance of weekend visits. My oldest is in Idaho...no weekend trips there. Is your older son going to be doing police workin Georgia or has he decided to abandon that career for now?

We want to do that and we are waiting for a couple of things to be in place before we do. We have our sights set on Savannah and I believe that is where we will be moving in the near future. Now, I think it is in the VERY near future.
