Starting off on a Good Note

This a.m. I made a firm decision that I'd get up early enough to go for my walk. So, I hopped up at 7:00 a.m., stretched out and took off for a couple of mile "wog" I like to call it. It's a combination of a walk jog. I jogged about 1/2 of the time and walked fast the other half. I was so awake when I got home. Actually, I was energized and felt great. Now, at 11:21 a.m. I'm starting to feel that slow downhill spiral.

They changed the school times this year. I've always worked from 7:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year someone upstairs had the bright idea to switch with the middle school. I don't start til 9:30, which means I get home about 5:00. It leaves nothing of your day left to do "stuff". You know "stuff" that junk you always have to take care of -- like running to the grocery store, playing with the dogs, swimming in your pool, answering emails, getting on Greasy and visiting. That's why I'm not around much, I can't seem to adjust to the new times.

Went out last night with travel buddy and we're planning our jaunt to Mexico already. I can't wait for that moment when we sit down on the deck and take a deep breath of sea air and just look out at the beauty that is the ocean. There is something that is so calming about that. No cellphones, no computers just me and the ocean. Maybe I'll bring a good book and just spend those 4 days wandering the ship and just enjoying being away from life as it has been. Sounds relaxing doesn't it? Yep, sounds that way to me as well.

Okay, back to work. I will try to get on later if I can get done with all my "stuff." Miss you guys a lot!

I'd hate not being able to begin my day until 9:30. Perhaps the best thing for you to do is wog every morning before going in.

I'm sure it looked like a waddle by the end...wait a minute, I'm not chunky any more, can I still waddle?

Changes in routine are very difficult. I'm with you about the time change. I am a morning person and do my best work then. At 9:30, half the day is gone! Bummer! I went to Cancun with a friend--it was so very lovely. Oh me--here I am stuck in So. IL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too. Within my circle of friends, my husband and I are the exceptions. We go to bed early and rise early.

I know what you mean about having the day over with if you work later. I have to work until 6pm, and I pretty much go home, make dinner, clean up and relax. The evening is a dud if I want to get something done.

I wish I could pry my eyes open after 10:30, but I've spent too many years going to bed early!

The earlier my day can start, the better for me. That time slot seems ridiculous for middle school?

Middle school used to be 9:30, now it is high schools. In the past high school always started at 7:20. this year someone had the bright idea to change with middle school, so we will have younger students waiting for the bus in pitch blackness!

I really enjoy early morning as well. Hope your day gets better. Try a Snickers.
