Sunday is Not the Day of Rest

Okay, last night was great. I won $55 which I went to get today and got one more of those $5 cards. would you believe I won$10! Too funny. I walked all over Universal Studios, I figure about 4 miles and came home. Then I mowed the front and back, which is no small thing considering we have a corner lot and it's fairly large. Then I finished my laundry, re-arranged my closet, made dogs food and washed the cat. I can't wait to go to work tomorrow, so I can rest! LOL Yep, I had a lot of stuff to do. It's mostly done now, finishing the dog food and Lord knows, I need a bath.

Going out to dinner tonight with another one of my friends. We go to this place where they have this dish called "Bang Bang Shrimp" and oh my, are they delicious. I'm so having that this evening. Good news is, the house is pretty clean and it will actually stay that way. Bad news is, the house is very quiet without the sound of my younger son's laughter or his dumb video games. I like the freedom, yet I also miss my guys. I'm glad they are where they are because it gives them a new day to look forward to.
Keep us in your prayers, we have a potential hurricane coming at us. I'm a veteran of Charlie, Jeanne and Francis, but I so want this one to go somewhere else! Can't believe this is going to happen again at the beginning of school.

I've been visiting a few blogs in between times, my I've lost touch with you guys and I never meant to do that. My life just got away from me. I'm going to visit you every day that I can. I have to catch up on all the good stuff. Smooches.

Those Bang, Bang Shrimp are absolutely awesome! I've eaten there also and I get them every time. I can't believe you make your own dog food....do you have to do that because of allergies they have? What do you put in it?

Two years ago in December my beloved Sammy died because of that tainted food. I decided right then and there I'd NEVER give them canned food again. I get organic chicken, ground and livers to which I add olive oil, garlic (naturally gets rid of fleas and parasites)a little sea salt (not too much), fish oil, vitamin C, brown rice, oatmeal, fresh carrots and green beans chopped. I cook it a special way, and I have enough food for a week. That way I know what they are eating. Also, because of this, there is less shedding, their coats are shinier and they have been incredibly healthy.

I hope that you stay safe and well if the hurricane does come your way. I've never been in one but I would be so scared if I ever were. Sounds like you've been ridiculously busy. At least you can go back to work tomorrow and try to get a break!

My mother says her dogs shy away from the storms, yelp and hide in stupid places. I hope it passes by quickly without too much damage. Watch out for T-storms.

As long as we don't lose power, I'm okay, actually. I just hate sitting in the house with the dogs who incidently freak out to say the least. They hate that wind and the bad storms. I wish it would just go away!

Hey there, cutie, just kidding, but do you know HOW to relax?? At least, glad to hear you are going to enjoy a yummy dinner tonight! I hear Fay is on track to hit southern Florida in 30 hours, so be sure you tie up anything that might blow away and stay safe and sound. It hit Cuba with a whallop of rain.

That's a good question. I have a great answer., when I go on my cruise in October, you bet I'll relax! I can't wait. Somehow the minute the boat pulls away from the dock, I relax and just enjoy the ocean, the breeze and just being alive

Wow! I am exhausted and all I did was just read about what you did!
I hope the hurricane misses you. Maybe it will just dud out.
Have fun at dinner!

Hmm.. When I listened to Frank the local weather guy on the radio on Friday, the storm wasn't a threat to anything at that point. He said it would have to approach Bermuda first, then pick a track. Hope youz guys don't get anything serious down there. By the time it gets here it's just a lot of rain, but this country doesn't need any more disasters--natural or other wise. Good luck!

I've weathered 3 of these bad boys. Lost power for a week on Charlie and during the hottest time of the year. It was horrible. I can't imagine what those people went through who lost power for weeks, not days. At least this time I have a generator and supplies. I'm ready for this one.

I live in Plantation,Florida, which is in Broward county.I hoping Fay drifts more to the west. They are saying the worse part of the storm is on the east side.I'm not putting up shutters but trying to bring things in from the outside.I think it will just be lots of rain with a few wind gusts.Keeping fingers crossed.Laurie

They're saing at worst a Category 1, but that's still bad. WE're going to be on the worst side of the storm, you and me!
