He's supposed to be here around 3:00. Hubby talked to him and he has a machine, sort of a vacuum that will just take them out of the wall without hurting them. He doesn't charge anything, he just wants the bees. I do hope that this goes well. Also, he can tell how many are in the wall by listening with a stethoscope. So, I got the great idea to check out the noise myself. I took my stethoscope (remember I'm Dr. Deb over at Universal, I have one)and listened to the wall...guess what? Nothing. Not a buzz which leads me to believe that the most of them may be in the drainpipe which is right by the little hole in the wall. Probably didn't like the smell of that wasp killer that we sprayed. Anyway, we'll see when he gets here.
The Beekeeper told hubby that it sounds like this is a group that just got there ready to build a hive and if this is the case, the wall won't have to be opened. The other side is that if there is a comb inside, we have to get it out or it will attract other insects and that will cause an infestation. We're hoping that it is just the set up crew for a beehive and not the whole hive. Anyway, I couldn't hear a blooming thing in the wall with my stethoscope and you would think you would have heard them buzzing. We did yesterday, but not much after we sprayed the insecticide.
Okay, I'll let you know the play by play. This is driving me crazy! I'm trying to visit you guys in between watching for killer bees. LOL
