  It's Wednesday and It's Payday!

Yeah, it's half way through the week. The yearbook got here today and it's absolutely beautiful. A couple of minor mistakes, but pretty much a great job. The pictures are excellent and I'm proud of the kids. Of course tomorrow starts the melee. Tomorrow they start getting them. It's amazing. We produce a 350 page all color book that is so very nice, but the kids will get criticized for the occasional typo or the small omission. This is a student production and I applaud the students for working on this so very very hard. They do a marvelous job. Anyway...

Going shopping tonight. I'm a little intimidated, because all I've bought since this 30 lbs is some cheap shorts capris and tank tops. What I basically live in during the summer. Now I have to look for a "formal" gown or after 5. I may go with the after 5 look because at least that is wearable to other things. Wish me luck.

Right now, I've done my food shopping today and I can't believe how high groceries are. I've gotten to the point, I buy generic half the time because they've gotten outrageous on prices. I mean Eight O'Clock coffee is up to $5.00 a bag! A month ago we were paying $3.59. What a difference a month makes, however the minimum wage doesn't go up, still stuck at $7.25 down here, which is positively ridiculous, I mean who can live on that and buy gas.

Okay, waiting for younger son to come home to see if he wants to go with us and grab a cheap bite. How is everyone? I'll be around later.

On this side of the Atlantic it seems to be milk, butter and dairy produce across the board, that appear to be going through the roof, I cannot see why, the increase to such exorbitant prices

The food situation is so bad that there have been food riots in some places around the world. It's true re the rice.

I just can't get over that one

Congrats to the new you!! Also, congrats on the yearbook. Yes, that is a lot of work. Food prices are outrageous. In my opinion part of the reason is that they are using food to make fuel. I think that is so wrong personally. There needs to be a better way without using food to make fuel.

Man, I can't believe how bad they are!

I've heard that Costco is limiting how many bags of rice people can buy. When RICE is being monitored... the most basic of staples... that's a bit worrisome.

Are you kidding me? Rice???? What the heck is wrong with that picture

Don't be intimidated! Embrace the moment! Enjoy shopping for a new, smaller you!!!

And yes. Food prices suck. Are we heading for another "great" depression?
