Aussie Guus. What a legend.
He absolutely threw the Japanese by starting Kewel - and then playing him in midfield.
This allowed us breaks on the wings, with Bresciano chiping them into the mix.
Viduka looked lonely up front on his own, but had his chances.
And then come the subs.
Fresh legs just ran all over Nippon.
I will say that the two teams are very similar.
Australia just have that attitude of never say die - mixed in with a bit of hard arse bogan.
Japan have the samarai / kamakazi.
At the end of the day, Frodo (timmy cahil) scored two, and Aloisi one,
with the end result 3-1.
It will go down in history, but what am I saying, everybody in teh country watched it right?
We still have Brazil to overcome, and then the Croat's, but this is just bloody brilliant to have Football finally consume a nation. Its been too long coming.
I am waiting by my phone for the call up. I hope Guus has my number.
Watch out for Beachside, were winning some finally and may finish mid table this year.
