Ok, so the ice started accumulating on Friday. I don't know what happened to round 2, but by Saturday evening the weather people were talking about round 3. By the time it was all said and done, we had about 1/4 inch on the trees and power lines. We lost power for about an hour and lost cable over night. Losing power we can deal with, we have a generator and 56 hours worth of fuel for it. I can't live without cable, without cable, I am without internet. We survived. The main roads are clear, but the residential roads are still ice covered.
Now, they are calling for more ice and snow this weekend. That's not cool, it means that we have to go through all of this again. Worst case is 1-2 inches of ice of Friday, then 10-12 inches of snow on top of that with 2-3 foot drifts. We haven't thawed out from round one, and here comes round 4. This is NOT pretty. Now I know how the folks in Colorado feel. Everyone stay safe and warm. Dyan
