Ok, well, I took my last final at 630 last night and I was sooooo relieved. I only have one grade posted so far, but am NOT patiently waiting. Unfortunately, they have until the 20th to post grades and if I have to wait that long it's gonna prove to be another long week for me.
So, the semester is over and that means I have 3 weeks to do nothing. Well, not exactly nothing. My house suffers during the semesters because I just don't have time for "proper care". I will be spending the weekend bringing it back up to par. I might wait til monday though, that's when hubby goes to work. I prefer to clean while he is outta the house. Makes for less stress on all of us. Once that is done, I will be working daily with the birds. I have ONE that will step up willingly. 2 that will only step up if they are outside and away from their cage, and 2 that need a little coaxing but eventually step up from inside. They are so tempermental sometimes.
While I am working with birds, I will be reading FOR FUN!! This is something that I thought was going to be impossible. I soooo can't wait. Hopefully I will get at least one book read before I start reading for school again about a week out. I go back for the Spring semester on the 8th, so not much time to relax, but I don't really have a choice. I can't really complain about that though. I was thinking about it last night and January I got all the money back that I paid into my GI bill, plus some.
So, who's heard from Mel? I talked to her a week ago today and haven't seen any evidence since that she has been online at all. Blogster says 10 days and the last time she logged into the parrot board was the 5th. I'm trying not to worry, but not seeing her at all concerns me. I'm sure she is crazy busy in L.A., but she normally at least makes an appearance. I talked to her daughter Wednesday, and she told me they have talked but not much, which curbs my anxiety a little, but not much. I guess I am going to have to break down and call her today. I sent her an email Wednesday and still no reply. She NEVER doesn't check her mail, even if she had to do it from school. Hopefully I will get to talk to her today, and will let everyone know she is fine. So, have a good day. Dyan
