I guess I can talk about my PLANS for Spring Break. As of now, I am OFFICIALLY on Break, but it really started at noon on Friday.
On Saturday, hubby and I got A LOT of stuff done outside. It has been beautiful here for the last almost 2 weeks, we just haven't had TIME to get out and get any work done. He got the grass cut and the weeds eaten and the shed straightened out. I got all the trash pulled out of my window pots that sit on my porch and not on windows. I put my humming bird feeders up a few days before. We got two of 4 garden areas planted. Both are rectangle in shape and we planted dahlias, liliums, gladiolas, and lily of the valley. The garden on the inside of the fence has some strategy going in, but I'm not sure what it is. Hubby's way of having some kind of control maybe. LOL The one on the outside is Buffy's garden and the only thing that I put in there strategically were the dahlias, since they are a bush with HUGE flowers. All the rest of them, I mixed all together. We shall see how it turns out. We didn't plant the other two (I guess it's actually three when you break up the sections) because we are planning on putting mostly vegetables in those and there is still a THREAT of frost and we don't want to lose anything before it gets started. We also put some edging around Buffy's garden to keep the soil from washing away into the driveway. I get really tired of being the one to have to clean all the mud outta my car from EVERYONE'S feet. So, that's what we did on Saturday.
Hubby went fishing Sunday, and I stayed home to get some major cleaning done. THAT is what I do when *I* am on break. Laundry is an every Sunday job so in between loads, I got the ceiling swept, ALL of the dusting done and the living room vacuumed. Today the cleaning will continue. During my cleaning breaks, I have a term paper to write, find a subject for another, start on my next speech, and find time to complete a study guide for government and study for the test that we are taking Monday when we go back to school. So much for a break from school huh. Such is the life of a student. Not like I am going to be able to do anything else anyway. The rain is supposed to start tonight and continue through Saturday, so I won't get to play outside. So there's an update. Have a good day. Dyan
