There was a #34 for the Villanova Wildcats on the floor tonight. I swear. Swear on my life. We were just more focused on Scottie Reynolds (just like Kentucky was) dribbling the ball for 25 seconds of the 35 second shot clock (not Scottie's fault that it was a poor game plan) and then the whole state of Kentucky collapsing on him making it impossible for him to do anything in the second half.
So common sense says... hmmm... if our #1 option isn't working, then going to our #2 option makes sense. Well obviously in Jay Wright's mind, they were sticking to a game plan that Kentucky dissected in the 2nd half. Even when Villanova cut it to four with a couple of minutes left, Sumpter did not see the ball. Instead we had Mike Nardi (possibly the worst player in NCAA Tournament history, this based on his solid play in the regular season for the past two years compared to his utterly horrible play in postseason play in the past two years) chucking up 3s that I could of told you before the game just would not go in.
So it took two days for both Philadelphia teams to get knocked out. But Philly fans! Wait just one second! Do not stop watching! Kevin Durant and Greg Oden are still playing which means you could possibly be witnessing your next star in a 76ers uniform considering the Sixers are.....nevermind. The Sixers are winning. Great.
