Being a Floridian for the past 38 years, I am truly happy to see the Rays put out a product that is a formula for success. Timely pitching, good defense and clutch hitting as well as a middle infield and catcher that are for real. The centerfield position is not that stable and I feel that BJ Upton and a few minor league prospects will be in the offering for a pitcher who will win l8 of more games or a formidable closer.. We saw them play abaout 2 weeks ago when the Red Sox were in town and Beckett and Sonnenstine were the pitchers. One of the better games to be seen. So. the post season will be interesting as to how the young Rays handle the ;pressure. Madden has done a good job with the psyche of this young team and lets hope that he can contginue to provide the leadership that they will need to win in the post season. By the way, I am originally f rom New England, Massachusetts and the Red Sox are a team that I would love to see win it all. But, there is something about this young team from Tampa that one really likes. lYouthful enthusiasm!! Go Rays and good lluck to the boys from Beantown.
