Most afternoons, my matey and I enjoy the view from the back deck that overlooks a shrinking lake. The view is serene as out plumbagos and butterfly bushes are in full bloom and bring in the swallowtails, zebras, gujlf fritillaries, skippers and an occasional hummingbird. The sounds of the cardinals, jays and doves as well as the titmouses is music to our ears. We usually get in about 1 martini watching and listening and then it is time to go onto the back porch for some snacks before going into the house and enjoying a good meal of Salmon, Tilapia or a New York Strip off the grill. A second martini is in store and then the TV goes on and guess what? Such trash and foolishness abounds and we say, lets head back out to the porch and listen to the evening come in.. A little soft music on the radio and a few well lit candles and it is the end of a beautiful day.
