On Vacation where everything is an adventure! I've been to more exciting things and places than I have all year and part of last year! It uses up my energy really fast, so I have been resting up a lot, between the challenges that I call adventures. It's all a matter of how you look at disasters, like being in an off balance all terrain wheelchair for several hours, getting to see La Purisima Mission. The grounds are pretty, the plant and animal life is all amazing. The birds are magnificent. I saw a hawk fishing in a lake, caught a BIG fish, and away he flew.
I've been in more fancy restaurants than in a couple of years. This was the Gourmet Tour of Lompoc. The foods were all good, just too much for me and my teeny stomach, all of it. If I took it back to Illinois, I would have leftovers for several weeks!
All these challenges are leading me into growing places, making me more aware of what I can and can't do, and there are still lots of things I can do. I've been photographing flowers here literally round the clock. And they are everywhere, even in the so called bad neighborhoods! The second night I was here Vandenberg Air Force Base sent up a Missile looking thing. It was a great arc of light searing the night sky. Amazing. I Saw the photo the next morning, on-line.
My body is getting a really exciting workout, too!
