  Dendrobium Secundum: Grown in Thailand

I was up all night again, wrestling the Old demon Discomfort, but I got to spend part of the night going through Flickr.com, gazing at pictures of flowers. As you can plainly see, I brought back the best one to show off. it was taken by a person named SentochihirokotohoUm i and it is vivid in color and rich in form. It made me very happy to look on it. I hope you like it too.

I bought a painting on e-Bay last night, and it was an impulse bid of one dollar. It's lovely. They now want $90 to stretch it on a frame and mat and frame it. I can teach my nephew how to stretch a canvas without either of us breaking a sweat. So go look at it! I love the colors and shapes.I will post the image of it next page, with the list of 1001 books to read before your brain falls out or whatever.
Love, Stephy

Another thing I did was go through a couple of those "List of Books You Must Read before You Die" things, and count off what I've read. It is interesting how very few books written by women are on that list, and how much pornography is on the list. Dating back to the 17th century! They are both pretty big snoozes, as lists go.

Much of what I hadn't read I don't plan to read. So much of what I gave my time to reading all the way through, I resented having given them the time. I was in my late 20's before I stopped reading books I didn't enjoy.

Perhaps I will make a second post after this and post the list of 1001. It is interesting, if daunting.
On "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" I had only read 221, and on "100 Books You Must Read Before You Die", I had only read 52.

Computer play and reading have kept me out of trouble all night long and I've had two pain pills, I finally gave in and took a second, and it is now moving up on my first cup of coffee, and my bedtime. the rule is, if I don't sleep at night, I stay up all day, maybe having a 1 hour nap, them go to bed at a reasonable degree of lateness the nest night, like, 9:45 p.m.

Drat! There's a moth flitting about my screen! I thought they went to sleep when the sun came up! Well that's my life. I got to go out to see the animated "Kung-Fu Panda!", and was delighted and amused. Wish I hadn't had to walk so far. Should have used my car and taken the Scooter. Next time I'll know better. Enjoy the orchid, everyone!
