This is a photo of an actual weather phenomenon. I've seen it once, on the Oregon Coast, You look over water with the sun at your back, and shining through a sky still wet with recently fallen rain. It only happens over water, usually. It's called a "Full Sky Rainbow", some folks call it "Fireskys". They are rare, except apparently in Hawaii. Breathtaking doesn't begin to describe them. Even this photo is only a postcard sized approximation, and it's wonderful! I called it "The Gates of Heaven" when I saw it, years ago.
Yesterday, Saturday morning, I was in agony of the feet, literally. I called the Foot Doctor's office and told the answering service it was an emergency. They said "No doctors are available before Monday at 9a.m." I lost it and spoke a bit louder than I normally would. I said "Find me a doctor right now or I'm going to sue them and you for being incompetent." Immediately the doctor's partner called me back and said "Meet me at the office in twenty minutes, no problem. I live a block away."
My poor nephew took me there, and went in with me, to help me walk, and stayed. He got a look at my malformed foot for the first time since he was three, and was almost sick. It's shaped strangely. He had forgotten all about it over the years.
The Foot Doctor on call removed the newest Una Boot and she replaced it with one like the earlier ones. Shazam! The inflamation and pain were gone. She had me keep it iced all day. Tomorrow too.
God bless my nephew who interrupted his volunteer work with the Boy Scouts Wilderness Engineer Corps (Eagle Scouts over 25, mostly) to drive me to the doc at the drop of a hint. They are helping clean up from the flooding. Big, dirty job. We are lucky to have them in our community!
