  Do the Right Thing

Politics is a rough sport. I understand that. So when the issue of Barack’s failure to visit the injured troops at Ramstein came up I could feel his pain. He had a decision to make and there was no actual good choice. If he had gone to the hospital it would have looked like political grandstanding, or worse, he might have been shunned by the troops who have been used as pawns by Barack and his allies in Congress. If he didn’t go it surely would have been interpreted as a statement of disrespect for our fighting men.

On the surface, then, it would seem to make little difference which choice he made. And that is why the choice he finally did make shows what a loser he would be as our President.

With nothing to lose or gain he could have chosen to do the right thing. The right thing for Barack was to disrespect our troops.

Well the real truth is out there and I guess I'll post it...McCain waited no time with his Rove type ad on this...

Yes they were quick to jump on it. Maybe too quick. They could have set this off like a bomb but the way they handled it was a complete fizzle.

No matter what a Democrat does, a Republican will put a negative spin on it. Since the GOP has failed completely and has no idea how to fix anything, they blame it on the Democrats. When the Dems have a constructive approach, the GOP claims it as their own idea.
To hear it from McCain, he has been Bush's biggest detractor.
How long do you expect to get away with it?

Only last night I learned the Republicans had prepared an attack ad to cover his visit to the base and another attack ad if he decided not to go.
The three point basketball shot took place in Kuwait. The Republicans spliced the footage into a Germany ad, because they wanted to accuse Barack of playing basketball instead of visiting wounded troops.
The Republicans insult the intelligence of the voters with such ads. They worked in 2000 and in 2004.

You're kidding aren't you? I mean about not going to visit the troops because he might be attacked "without witnesses"? Are you that gone?

Don't look now, but you have made another empty and bitter attack. Obama has more sense than to go into an unprotected situation without witnesses.
Toby Keith is touring the TV network shows to promote his song, which extols the virtues of lynch mob justice. Everybody praises Toby.
This should cause a pause for thought among many Americans, but it won't.

Of course both sides will be swinging their axes as this election goes on but I hope my few words here cwill be seen as more than an empty, bitter attack. There is a lesson to be learned here and a stunning insight into the type of man Obama really is. All politics aside the guy revealed himself in a decision from his true soul. He couldn't be bothered to go see real bravery and sacrifice. He's no good and the change he's bringing is going to be a step lower than more of the same.
