I'm proud to announce the founding of the Think-Tank Poker Team. We will become the War Gods of the Poker Expertise Realm. We're the strategical, analytical Militant Mad Professors of Poker.
Founded this day by the boastful Poker rounder Nathan "Rock Star" Lee, Think-Tank Poker's mission will be to become the first Poker crew to have a membership of Poker Gods. Members will start out as no-namers and will eventually become Poker Superstars. Also, our goal is to teach the public that Poker is a 95% intellectual skill game, and only 5% luck.
70% of everything you ever need to know about Poker can be learned in a book, and this is not just how to play Poker, but how to be a Poker expert. Depending on the length of your IQ and your Poker book studying habits, applied to things you already know (especially if your well-versed in Psychology), a person has the ability to become a Poker Professional book-wise without ever having played a poker game yet!
It all depends on how far down the rabbit-hole you want to go! As Morpheas said, take the red pill or take the blue pill. Here at Think-Tank we take the red pill, thus mastering the Matrix of Poker play and strategy.
The rest of what you need to know about poker by playing is only 30%. Depending on yourself as a person, this 30% can take decades to master, or months to master, and even minutes to master! I guess the truth about Poker and becoming a Professional player is just whether or not you want to be that serious.
About Nathan Lee's Poker play:
After studying hard and long Nathan has finally mastered Poker, and he has done it in a few months (this seems to be a trend lately, people reaching expert status within weeks, due to fanatical studies and 24/7 internet play). Nathan has formed his own Poker style and strategy, called "Think-Tank Poker". The Think-Tank Poker strategy consists of:
1. Phil Hellmuth's Poker strategies and theories
2. Doyle Brunson's Super System Poker strategies and theories
3. Howard Lederer's poker strategies and theories
4. Daniel Negreanu's Power Poker strategies
5. Nathan's very own theories on Poker strategy and techniques, and his in-depth knowledge & studies of Philosophy and Psychology
6. The applications that Meditation and Zen Buddhistic patience have on one's Poker play, and the Self-Psychological effect of "becoming one with the deck," and the application of Black (Lesser and Greater) Magic to your Poker game to influence the final resulting outcome by a Will to Power other than "magical powers" per se. The placebo effect.
