11/11. a Day to Remember ... ... ... .

......... not only those troops who fought for us, their families and loved ones, but a day to remember my Nanna too. Who passed away many years ago on this day. She still plays a constant part in my life, even though she's not here in body. She will always be thought of, never forgotten, and forever loved. xxx

Hmmmph!a Post on My Totally Conscious Thoughts And

Sitting here while the rest of the house sleep. Wondering if I should write a post or even go as far as publishing one to the public? Not really feeling any feeling anything other than calm and content. Not really caring, I suppose not having a care in the world at this particular time. How strange is that? What is the point of this blog? None, other than typing out words and sentences 'till I get tired enough to go to bed, and feeling thankful and blessed for what I have, and all the seco ...

School Started Back Today.

Richard started comprehensive school today. I cannot believe that he is old enough to go. He wasn't in the least bit worried, even though he was going on his own. I keep looking at the clock and wondering what he's doing or how he is. I can't wait till 3.40pm when he comes home. He would not smile for his photo this morning, he didn't want one taken.

Two More Days ... ... ...

Before school starts. I don't know where the last 6 weeks have gone. I was expecting a call from the taxi firm which will be taking Richard to and from school this week. I still hadn't heard anything by Friday so I called the school. They didn't even know who the taxi firm were. Talk about dumb and dumber! After sometime the school called me back and confirmed a pick up time. I wonder if the taxi would have turned up at all if I hadn't called the school? Alexander has settled into creche v ...

A Shock to the System.

Going back to work and doing a seven hour shift where I am standing the whole time has been a shock to my system. It feels as if I have done a serious workout in the gym. My God I must have been so fit three years ago. Wow Even my brain is exhausted. I'm not complaining I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was great to be doing something different from the usual brain numbing household chores. I really am happy, even if I am a bit tired.

What a Great Time We Had.

We were invited by a friend to attend the evening celebration of her daughters wedding. I was unsure if we would go as we don't have a child minder for Alexander, but they said to bring the children too. Richard wasn't at all fussed about going so he stayed with his grandfather. He could choose which of his two grandfathers he wanted to stay with as we were going to pass both grandfathers houses to get to the castle the wedding was taking place in. He made his choice based on who has the m ...

A Busy Week.

It is Saturday afternoon already, Where has this week gone? I have been so busy. Busy has been hard work because I got a got of a cold which really made me feel sick. It was a strange feeling, not really ill, but not right. I am over that now. I think it could have been a lack of sleep and having the fan set towards me at night. Usually it rotates, but I think Alexander altered it without me knowing! Alexander had his first school dinner this week. He is being introduced to an all day scho ...

So Why Should it Bother You?

I was annoyed in town today by the attitude of strangers towards the mother of a child who was throwing a tantrum. The little girl seemed to be a little older than Alexander, who is nearly four years old. Yes admittedly she was creating one hell of a racket, but her mum was trying her best to resolve the situation. Once the mother had said her piece she walked on with the child behind still performing and screaming. As I walked into a shop the two old biddy's in front of me were verbally ri ...
