Mr. Troutbend and Buddy the Cat are driving here tomorrow, so my three week vacation from them is coming to an end. I have a list of things I want to get done before they get here, things I could have knocked out in a couple of hours when I first got here, but put it off until the last minute.
I will have to start thinking of what to cook for meals, and summer for us will officially start, with the opening of the cabins that have been shut up for the winter with water turned off, and Mr. Tbend will have to start on the handyman projects, replacing cracked window glass, painting, and cutting down trees. Bless his heart, he does it all with a cheerful spirit.
Here is our property from the US Geological Survey.
You can locate your own property using this website: Terra Server
This is an alternative to Google Earth, which is a lot of fun in its own way but the USGS site has old photos so you can see how your property looked at some point in the past.
What with all the time wasters I can come up with, I'll probably be getting my to-do list done sometime after dark today.

"cheerful spirit". I will grind it up and add it to
Ed's cereal. He'll never know! As for the title of this
post, that is story of my life.
