  Finding Lost Treasures

Today I spent some time in one of our little storage houses opening boxes and describing the contents in a spreadsheet. There are a lot of boxes in there that we packed in 2005 when we moved here from the south side of Denver and I'd forgotten what was in them.

I can't say I've missed having these items on display or in use, which is a good sign I should get rid of them, but there are a few things I brought back to the house, for example the little glass ashtrays that go in the inserts on our poker table. It's important to get them back together because if we ever decide we need those ash trays, you can bet I will have forgotten where I last saw them.

In October I am going to have a booth at a toy sale so I am looking for items to unload, and am glad that I found some things I can live without. I plan to set the prices really low and maybe have a lot of freebies just to move this stuff out of here. Anything that doesn't sell I'll donate on the way home from the toy show; won't even let that stuff back on my property.

Well, time to get the fly swatter and try to get some of these flies.

Inherited lots of stuff from Ed's wife's previous marriage, and
her late husband's previous marriage, and my loft, and Ed's
childhood. Ed won't get rid of any of it, including his late
wife's first husband's photos of his travels through Europe
"because those places don't exist anymore." But I also kept
letters to Jay from his old girlfriends because they were so
charming, really.

Are your rural flies as aggressive as ours? Man, these things attack without provocation.
