not this weekend.
I put in for this friday off, even though she wanted me to bang in sick, because I have a guilty conscience, and can't fake it. I'll be out of the country after all. If I were staying home, it might be a different story.

Something else that she and I have in common:

Before we start a book, we have to see how many pages it has.
Then we have to calculate the half-way point.
Then before we start chapters we have to see how many pages are in them.
And, generally, we have to read an entire chapter in one sit-
ting.

And the adventure is 4 days away if you don't count today.
Yeah!

I gotta tidy up some stuff at work too. I can see a couple long days coming this week.

But she's worth it, my girl who salutes the Maple Leaf.

I didn't tell you to "bang in sick"...I merely suggested that if taking *one* day off from work was the only thing holding you back, nobody had to know...you could just call in sick.I have a conscience, too, you know!
