Here I am am back among my friends in front of the county building on Genesee St.It's a great little place to hang out here in Utica, it has benches and picnic tables and unless you start acting up they won't bother you. Of course it's a really great place to be on Monday nights, because they usually have musicians playing for Utica Monday Nights.
Every Monday night they have different events all over the city to show people what the city has to offer..besides drug dealing, crime, and prostitution. The big news was Thusday when they had a large structure fire at the FX Matt Brewery on the cities west side (you can read about it & see pictures on www.uticaod.com) Also our police chief of 7 years retired this past Friday. But before you start feeling sorry for him know that they ended up buying out his contract at a cool $250,000! Also he is a retired NYS trooper drawing a very good pension, and more then
likely he will move on to something else. The chief didn't have an exactly stellar career here, but with what he had and the administration here he did the best he could. Well it's coffee time, and that means going over to Barady's Bistro, if your ever in Utica stop there..the food is great and the service is top notch.
