First, I didn't block you from doing anything. The comments/reply at Blogster are totally fucked up. Ask anyone. Don't blame me for their incompetence. You could've replied to me there -- privately, publicly, doesn't matter to me -- if you had a problem with what I wrote and wanted to discuss it. Instead, you set your blog on private and then came here and resumed your name-calling.

Second, that "negative and judgmental slam" was in response to what you wrote to a good friend of mine.


Martin doesn't need me to defend him -- he did a pretty good job of putting you in your place. What you wrote to him was indefensible. It also shows that maybe you're not quite the peace and love kind of guy you think you are. Telling someone to "eat shit" and calling him a wimp is pretty bad, but it's especially rich from someone who's left the country instead of staying to fight for his own beliefs.

So I called you out for that. The NSA, CIA, ESPN, and the PTA aren't looking for you; neither are the police in Alpine or any SRSU officials. If they were, you're hardly doing yourself a favor by keeping any kind of profile.

I also figured you were a chickenshit who would go private so I took a screenshot of it (further testimony to how fucked up Blogster is -- the graphics are all over the place in some browsers). Thanks for proving me right and doing something so I could post it. I knew it would be just a matter of time -- a week?

I won't accept an apology from anyone whose actions were against a friend of mine unless the apology has first been made to and accepted by my friend. Have you apologized to Martin yet? Or do you think you can push me around and make me out to be the bad guy or harass me on my blog and by sending me notes like this?

I'm not hiding. I'm here and active in my country and its political system. I'm not the one half the world away cowering in fear because I think someone is out to get me. I'm not the one on the other side of the planet -- on foreign soil -- launching political attacks against people who are here fighting on any side of the political spectrum. I'm not the one half a world away telling senior citizens to "eat shit" and mocking their interests.

In any case I would rather have you concentrate and write a blog about how inefficient our country is when all the government agencies can't find/kill (as he inferred) one American citizen.
Ignore him--I really believe he (along with 'slacker', the 'dog lover'. jozie, etc.) feels negative attention is better than no attention at all.

Martin, I apologized to you right after we both chose to behave in a stubborn and mean-spirited way ... you're making all sorts of false assumptions about me.

I'm sorry you were tossed out of the military by homophobes, Martin, but that doesn't make every claim on the part of straight men, something to deride or attack.

I suggest you let go of your admitted bias against straight men and keep your petty and ill-informed opinions to your-self ... when I first joined Blogster, I posted a comment in support of your web-site, and your efforts to make people aware of gay issues.

You jokingly said I should try the gay life, or something like that ... I think you have biases against us straight people, Martin, and that you allow those to create feelings of anger and jealousy because heterosexuals are generally more socially accepted, fair or not ...

No. There are two kinds of exiles. One is the kind who is legitimately persecuted. The other is the disaffected expatriate. The former keeps a low profile. The latter often maintains a high profile and launches attacks from foreign shores. Among the latter are those who have legitimate grievances as well as those who don't. I count this guy among both latters -- un-persecuted with illegitimate grievances. Maybe a mental illness, but I'm no expert on paranoia or delusions.

Why do I not believe him? I don't think someone who attended Sul Ross State University -- which is for all intents and purposes a step above a community or junior college -- is at the top of anyone's enemies list. Especially for the trite crap he brags about writing. If he deserves to be persecuted it's for the pedestrian blight of his "infamous" article on new citizen or whatever website.

There are far more reputable writers who've written much more malicious things about the president and his colleagues who aren't running off to do "energy work" in exotic climes. They do book tours, they do speaking engagements, they feel comfortable sipping their Starbucks like anyone else. Many of them would LOVE to be persecuted to an extent that it might cause them more publicity and book sales. But if they were seriously afraid for their lives, they wouldn't be blogging about their navel gazing or detailing their travels. They also might avoid countries where the people who poisoned Litvinenko and Yuschchenko are known to operate freely.
